Things Every Man Should Know
Today you can outsource just about any job, anything at all. Need a new sink put in, call a plumber. How about replacing a window – get yourself a carpenter. But there are still some things you need to know how to do by yourself, things every man should know how to do.
A man can be expert in nothing, but he must be practiced in many things, otherwise known as a jack of all trades. He never really has to master anything, but he must collect and develop a certain number of skills as the years go by. There will always be times when little things pop up that need doing right away, or times when you simply don’t want to pay someone else to do it for you. People will always count on you to come through.
As I write this article it brings me back to the time my son asked me to show him how to tie his tie. You’re probably thinking, so? Everyone needs to learn. Problem is he was 20 years old and didn’t know how to tie one. I thought, this is one of those things every man should know how to do. So I taught him how to tie his tie and then I set off to find out what other things does he not know how to do that he should know.
