Last Minute Shopping – Is This You?
Are you one of the many people that does last minute shopping? I know I used to be, especially when it came to last minute Christmas shopping. Ugh…how many times did I torture myself running around the mall trying to find the best gifts for Christmas that just weren’t there. Christmas eve, the clock is ticking and I’m wandering aimlessly through a sea of people with nary an idea of what I was even looking for, let alone where to buy it. If anything got my blood pressure up it was last minute shopping. Seriously, think about it, how can you possibly find the best gifts for her or best gifts for him when your brain is feeling like cream of wheat? Not that there’s anything wrong with cream of wheat; I really like it. But I don’t want my brain feeling like it.
What’s the answer? Shop early! But you already knew that. Unless you’re a last minute shopping sadist the only way you’ll really enjoy shopping at all is to get out there early. Shopping can be fun, trust me it can be. But last minute shopping is never fun. When you shop early you really need to consider shopping online. If there is one downfall with shopping online, it is not having the ability to bring the gift home with you. It has to be delivered. Just figure in delivery time when you shop online. I’d bet my last dollar that you will find the best gifts for her, best gifts for him, and heck, the best gifts for everyone on your list.
When you give yourself ample time to shop and you shop online, the possibilities of finding the best gifts for everyone on your list increase about a million percent. Think about it, instead of being limited to whatever gifts happen to be at the mall or store you’re at, you have access to hundreds of thousands of gifts when you shop online. Not only do you have a huge selection of gifts to choose from, you’re almost guaranteed to get a great price.
If you don’t typically shop online then you need to seriously consider doing it more often. Imagine sitting on your couch, laptop on your lap (where else would it be :-) ), and you have access to more gifts than would ever be possible at the mall. So don’t get “malled”, don’t drive yourself batty with last minute shopping, shop online and be king of your shopping castle.
