Digital Photo Frame Review

Digital Photo Frame. You have the fancy cell phone with the built in camera, you’ve got the new digital camera, or you’ve taken all your paper photos, and if you’re like me you have thousands of them, and scanned them in digitally. Now they’re on your computer. What do you do with them? It’s highly impractical to print them all out. You just scanned a bunch of them in :-) The answer is a digital photo frame.

You can load hundreds or even thousands of photos on your new digital photo frame. Then simply place the frame someplace within easy viewing range and enjoy all those photos you haven’t seen in a very long time.

There are many brands and features you can choose from when you go to purchase a digital photo frame. Do you want a black digital photo frame, or one with a wooden frame? How big of a screen do you need? Would you like a wireless connection to your home network so you can pull images directly from your computer? Or is it ok to use a memory stick to transfer your digital photos? Sony, Kodak, Samsung, Pandigital and Philips all make high quality digital photo frames. It is really important to stick with a fairly well known brand name when purchasing a digital photo frame. Some of the no-name brands can be of quite low quality and they either don’t last very long or the picture doesn’t look good at all.

If you’re looking for one of the best gifts for Christmas you cannot go wrong with a digital photo frame. It is an awesome gift for just about anyone and any age. Everybody loves their pictures!

The video below gives some very good advice on what you should be looking when you’re shopping for a digital photo frame. Keep these things in mind when you’re shopping and you can’t go wrong.

do the frames have a USB size limit? ie could I send my g’ma a 4GB usb full of stuff, assuming her frame is made for any size USB?

Yes – there are many that will accept a 4GB memory stick.

Yes, there are digital photo frames that will play digital video. So if you’re camera supports a digital video format you could transfer that video to your photo frame and play it. Just ensure you purchase a digital photo frame that supports digital video.
